woman in the suit keeping near the rescueLose 3-5 pounds in a flush!

Help! So, you’ve been losing weight this summer, but now you’ve hit a plateau.

Your resolve is beginning to wane. You’re having trouble sticking to your diet. You are really frustrated that the scale is not moving southward as quickly and effortlessly as it once did. Or maybe you celebrated a little too much for a special occasion or just got back from a “fattening” vacation. You are on the lookout for an “emergency” way to lose your tummy in a hurry for an upcoming wedding or high school reunion. And you need almost overnight results.

Just for in time for that special event, I’ve created a double-whammy. I combined two of my most successful weight loss strategies of all time for a special liquid Flush with really fast results! With the Hot Metabolism Cocktail, you’ll be cool as a cucumber while your metabolism heats up with lots of thermogenic spices, green veggies, and tomatoes.

You’ll start to see a shrinking waist without sacrificing your health—like so many crash diets do—because you’ll also be consuming plenty of fiber, omega-3-rich oil, fruits, and hypoallergenic protein.

At the core of the plan is my special “cocktail with a kick” that you will be drinking three times per day: morning, noon, and night. The Hot Metabolism Cocktail, due to its high water content, helps you stay filled up and fuller longer while keeping calories low. For lunch and dinner, fruit-flushing smoothies with complimentary weight-regulating ingredients will help give your digestive system a rest while delivering long term appetite satisfaction and hydration.

Here’s what you need to get started:

Hot Metabolism Cocktail
– Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
1 large ripe tomato, or 8 ounces V8 or Knudsen’s Very Veggie Juice
½ cup fresh squeezed lime or lemon juice
½ cup filtered water (unless using juice)
Handful of fresh parsley
Handful of fresh cilantro
1 green onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/8 teaspoon cayenne (or as desired)
2 teaspoons olive oil
½ teaspoon Seaweed Gomasio
½ teaspoon Flora-Key
1 tablespoon chia seeds
6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a blender until the desired consistency is reached.

Follow this daily menu for two to five days to melt off pounds in a hurry.

Breakfast: Hot Metabolism Cocktail
Lunch: Fat Flush Smoothie (Made from 1 scoop Fat Flush Body Protein, 8-ounces water, 1 cup fresh or frozen berries, 1 tablespoon flaxseed oil, 1 tablespoon flax seeds or chia seeds, and ice cubes, if you choose.)
Snack: Hot Metabolism Cocktail
Dinner: Fat Flush Smoothie
Before bedtime: Hot Metabolism Cocktail
Daily: Consume half your body weight in ounces of water (typically 10-12 8-ounce glasses)

By eliminating wheat, dairy, yeast, and salty, spicy or acidic seasonings you will actually trigger your body to release pounds of unnecessary fluid. Your plateau will be a thing of the past as your body purges accumulated fat and fluid from its tissues.

Think of it, the “new you” is only three days away. And even better, once you resume your regular Fat Flushing diet principles and exercise regimen, you will maintain your slimming results for your summertime beach body.

You might try a Bieler’s Broth made with equal amounts string beans, cucumbers, and zucchini to sub for the tomato and peppers 🙂

I am starting today too. Just came on to ask if a handful of cilantro and parsley means just the leaves or the stem as well. Just the leaves will obviously take a bit longer.
    Thanks!

Can you make a batch of the Hot Metabolism cocktail for the whole day (3 servings) or is it best mixed fresh each time? Just thinking with all those ingredients it would be easier to do once. Thanks for posting!

I was wondering about the calorie content of all of this. The Veggie Drink made with Knudsen’s Very Veggie has 230 calories ; three times a day and that is 690.
Fruite smoothie with my whey (90calories), flax oil, flax seeds, and 1c blueberries = 330; 2 times a day is 660 calories. Totaling 1350 for the day. I had been eating about 1200 calories per day. Do you think it will still serve as a plateau buster despite the increase in calories?
Also the veggie drink is really yummie! I was prepared to be disgusted and was so pleasantly surprised. It makes 16 oz once all blended together with ice, so I may be sick of it by the end of the day, but the flavor is like a delicious gazpacho.

Kristi- If you’re referencing the above mentioned diet, it is a 3 day plan, could be done once every couple of months.

Laura- Feel free to throw in the whole cilantro, stem and all!

Barbara- If you have a big enough blender, It would be fine to make the three of them at once! Just keep them cool in the refrigerator!

Laura- Have you been losing weight with your 1200 calorie diet? That is a pretty low calorie count to do on an ongoing basis, so the extra calories may be just what you need to kick start your metabolism and burn fat!

just started today. I had all the shakes til the last veg one. I was tired and full and did not drink it. I am ready for day 2. I am planning on doing the fat flush on day 4 or 5 .

good luck to everyone and just stay focused.

I have been doing the 2 week protocol of the Fat Flush for 3 weeks. Lost 6 pounds the first 2 weeks and then nothing in the 3rd. So no, not losing any more weight on 1200 calories/day. Today I did the first day of the SOS Metabolism Makeover. Easy and filling. I too couldn’t fit a third veggie drink in. I am full and the day is done. Hopefully this kicks things into gear. Otherwise I just have to up the exercise quotient to make progress and will need more calories to do that.

ME TOO! I just could not fit that last cocktail in. I get home late from yoga and am ready for that fruit smoothie first but then time to go to bed came closer and I just couldn’t do it. Not another ounce could go into my body! I began to wonder if that recipe was 1 serving as in 1 batch for all day. Sounds like it’s not…. it’s 1 recipe 3 times a day…Whew!

The lemon was a bit tart at first, but over all it was a tasty drink and filling enough to just make it to time for the next. I wonder if skipping the night drink will make any difference? What do you all think? I haven’t even digested this yet so I’m curious what day 2 will bring and wondering if that 3rd drink is going to make it in.

I noticed this recipe omitted tumeric, which is in the original HMB cocktail. Was that intentional? I like it better without the tumeric.

Turmeric was not in the original that came out years ago.2004-2005?

      • Sierra

There are a few versions of this recipe and protocol. Turmeric has many health benefits, but if you strongly prefer the HMB without it, simply omit it from the recipe.

Yes, the HMB is effective without the tumeric. So glad you like it.

OK now, is it supposed to cause diarrhea? It wasn’t a real surprise considering what the diet is made up of, but wow!

I had hit a plateau too and had also started to sneak in foods OFF the list so it probably wasn’t a real Plateau… Day 3 on this and I have lost about 4 pounds now. I think I’m going to manage to do it one more day.

When get through with this SOS diet I think I’ll be more motivated to stay on the maintenance plan, actually I think I’ll ease back up with the original FF plan and work my way up to maintenance again.

So I have lost 6 pounds in three days with this method, yeah! (although I couldn’t do the 3rd HMC either, too full) I am going back to the shakedown plan but Is there any reason I couldn’t have the hot metabolism cocktail at least once a day while I do the shakedown plan? Besides tasting yummy, I feel better after having it.

  21. liz

I love the taste of the HMC too. It has so much flavor and does deliver a punch to the metabolism. I feel energized after I have it.

You could do the HMC while you are on the SS, as a snack. Using a tomato instead of juice makes it all veggies and gives you more fiber, so would be better. Tomato juice is not really part of the SS plan.

Is it really supposed to be 1/2 cup juice from a lemon? That would take at least a couple lemons. And 3 times a day? 6+ lemons in the day? I just did 1/2 lemon. I don’t know if that’s enough though. Maybe it really is supposed to be 1/2 cup in the serving.

    Reply
  23. Eliza

Oh, no actually I did 1 whole lemon for one serving.

Do you think it would work to do the SOS now or wait until I get back from vacation? Have a wedding coming up also and would like to drop about 10 lbs.

Thank you for this, I am gearing up products to try it out. I have been using the fat flush program for about a year and for smoothies I use the Whey protein from Unikey, not the Body Protein, are they interchangable in this case? I am not a fan of the texture of the Body Protein.

    Thank you,

Could these ingredients be put in the juicer instead of the blender and still have the same benifits? I would like to try it, but i am concerened about the consistancy of it. It seems like it would be chunky and stringy, and kind of hard to drink if its just done in a blender. Has anyone found the texture of it hard to drink?

  27. liz

Charlotte: you could do the SOS before you go on vacation and afterwards. It’s a great detox before you vacation and a jump start when you come back. I’ts great as a short term emergency weight loss. The regular Smoothie Shakedown is wonderful for continued weight loss.

Robyn: I enjoyed the drink and the texture. It is like Gaspacho. You want the added fiber.

Jo: The Body Protein will keep you full longer and also help speed up your metabolism. I’m sure you could do the FF Whey if you really wanted to.

Will it work if I leave out the Seaweed Gomasio, Flor-Key & use flax seeds instead of
chia seeds? I live in a small town and there is not anywhere to purchase the Seaweed
or the Flor-Key in such short notice.

I am a little confused because after the recipe it states to eliminate wheat, dairy, yeast, and salty, spicy or acidic seasonings…….are not some of the ingrediants spicy, acidic, and salty?

    Reply
  33. Sierra

Teresa- yes, that is a little confusing. I think what Dr. ALG is referring to would actually be a vinegar based hot-sauce. They are typically very high in sodium, and the vinegar can trigger yeast overgrowth. I feel this recipe is best with a fresh tomato, as some V-8 type drinks have many of the same salty, acidic, spicy qualities 🙂

After holding off a few months, I started the SOS metabolism makeover today. I have to say the cocktail taste good and is refreshing! I have a couple of questions. Can I add a scoop of extra ‘green’ powder to the cocktail to get even more veggies? Ever since I did the Fat Flush back 2002, I’ve incorporated 4oz. of unsweetened cranberry juice in the morning and evenings. For the smoothie, instead of just plain water, can add 4 oz. of the unsweetened cranberry to the water? To get extra fiber, can I also add 1 tblsp of pysllium husk to either the cocktail and/or smoothie? Thanks for answer in advance!

  39. Sierra

Sandra- The extra greens should be fine- be sure though that the chlorophyll (if present) is processed with a copper-free method, like the UNI KEY Liver-Lovin Formula. The cran water in your smoothies is fabulous. And if you feel the need for extra fiber, that is a great way to get it, as would be the Super-GI Cleanse from UNI KEY. Here are links to both products!

I was wondering why the olive oil instead of flax oil ? Can either work or does the olive oil have a necessary property that flax oil doesn’t? In most of the other recipes either flax or chia seeds are interchangeable. Is that the case here or should I stick to chia?
    Thanks for your help.

I need more container to put my drink and Smoothie
What is your suggestion, please let me know , did I put too much water that why , it seem a lot to me

Sandy: Olive oil is a medium chain fatty acid which is also helpful for weight loss. You can use flax if you want, but this HMC is meant as a variation on the Fat Flush Plan.

Faty: It’s OK to add water. It’s good to drink up to 64 oz of water per day anyway.

I have been on Fat Flush for 3 weeks and lost 15 pounds and 17 inches on 7 measurements. I started the HMC today after reaching a plateau with the other.
My question … I am on antibiotic after dental work and wondering how this is affecting my results and if the probiotic is necessary to the results. I normally take probiotic daily as part of my supplement regiment… But has stopped that while on the antibiotic. Is the Flora Key essential to weight loss?

    Reply
    • liz

Congratulations on your weight loss! Since you need to take the antibiotic, I’ve found that taking Flora-Key in between doses does help keep the yeast in check. Taking it this way will help keep your gut balanced, which is essential for weight loss.
