Submitting Photos:
Submitting Digital Photos Using Software that Came with Your Camera: Many photo software packages, especially those that come with camera have an automatic feature that will prepare a photo for "Sharing" or "Sending" via email. Simply follow your photo software suggestions for a Medium size photo to be sent by email and send them using the Email guidelines provided below.
Digital Photos Using Professional Level Software Like Adobe PhotoShop:
» Resolution: Set the maximum resolution to be no less than 72 pixels per inch and no more than 100. This is usually accomplished with the Image Size menu.
» Maximum Dimension: Make the maximum dimension (either height or width) to be 500 pixels. This is usually accomplished with the Image Size menu.
» Optimization: If your photo software permits, optimize your photo for the web or email. This removes unneeded information and reduces file size dramatically. An image that is 500 pixels on a side at 72 pixels per inch will have a file size of less than 100 kb when optimized. If there is an option for Progressive downloads you may choose this option.
» Format: Save your files as a JPEG with the .jpg format.
To upload your photos, select "Browse" and find the photo on your computer. Select the image and it will be uploaded when you submit your story.
