I enjoyed the Fast Track Detox immensely. I ate more food in the days
leading up to the one day fast than I normally eat and lost a little
over 5 lbs. The protocol was laid out so clearly that it was easy to be
sure I got the requirements in each day. I found the fast day quite
easy. I wasn't hungry and that surprised me quite a bit. I've fasted
before and usually struggle with hunger by mid-afternoon. That wasn't
the case at all. I attribute that to the thorough preparation in the
prequel.
The sequel was very simple too. I had no problems at
all with any of the foods or the HCL. If anything, I tended to be
slightly constipated. I have never cared for sauerkraut at all but I
really enjoyed it (I used a prepared raw sauerkraut). I do have some
dairy sensitivities so I chose the sauerkraut over the yogurt as I've
not tried yogurt and didn't want to experiment.
I will repeat
the Fast Track Detox Diet on a regular basis (probably quarterly)
because it really curbed my cravings. It jump-started my weight loss as
I've been hovering around the same weight for several months. I thought
that it would be tremendously difficult because it was so structured
and restricted but I found myself enjoying new foods as well as
enjoying the sense of control I had over my eating. I had energy and
slept very well all through the Detox. I especially slept well the
night of the fast. I was able to accomplish several tasks during this
time that required intense concentration as well as started a new job.
It seemed that my mind was sharper during this time.
