Micro-minerals with a macro punch.
Earlier this week I wrote about bone-building—emphasizing the right kind of calcium, along with vitamin K and vitamin D. Now, I’m going to focus on two bone-building minerals I didn’t write about then, which I feel are important enough to merit a blog of their very own: manganese and selenium. Both are contained in the Osteo-Key product I use and recommend for optimum bone health.
The truth is, manganese is just as vital as calcium for treating and preventing bone and joint related problems, and… Continue reading Edge on Health Blog

The truth is, manganese is just as vital as calcium for treating and preventing bone and joint related problems, and… Continue reading Bone Up!

Take your calcium with vitamin K and vitamin D.
We now know that osteoporosis is not simply a “calcium deficiency disease” or even a hormone deficiency disorder. Thanks to the latest research which has ignited the Vitamin K and Vitamin D revolutions, we can now be assured that the calcium we do consume ends up in our bones—not in our soft tissues or arteries.
Bone loss, you see, is a rather complicated condition that impacts an estimated 10 million in the US.[1] Another 34 million Americans are at risk of developing osteoporosis due to a condition of low bone… Continue readingMilk Maize

Getting the dairy-free calcium you need.
For over ten years, we have seen the infamous milk mustache on celebrities, supermodels, and star athletes. The Got Milk? campaign ads are probably the most successful advertising campaign in history. You’ve got to hand it to the dairy industry. The ads must be working because Americans still consume more dairy products than any other nation.
And we suffer from far more calcium-related degenerative diseases—like obesity, osteoporosis, arteriosclerosis, and cataracts—than the Asians or Africans where dairy intake is minimal or non-existent.
While milk may be rich in calcium (1200… Continue reading Got Milk?

I hope not.
It’s all over the news. The radiation from the Japanese Fukushima nuclear meltdown is spreading world wide—and has been found in our milk. The levels of Iodine 131 alone have been reported to be 300% higher than maximum. But what about the other radioactive elements that could be in milk—a primary food source of calcium that many Americans depend upon for building strong teeth and bones.
First off, it’s strange to me that nobody is talking about Strontium 90—the most hazardous of all radiation elements to the bones and teeth. It… Continue reading Mobile Phone Health Scares Go Beyond Brain Tumors

A rise in rare tumors parallels greater mobile phone use.
The debate over cell phone use just took a dramatic turn. Researchers at Hebrew University in Jerusalem have found that cases of cancerous or benign parotid gland tumors—the parotid (or salivary) gland being the gland located closest to where people hold their phones—have quadrupled since 1970. The greatest rise was since 2001, just when cell phone use skyrocketed in Israel.
This evidence flies in the face of arguments that there has been no increase in tumors since cell phones became popular. And a new… Continue reading How Much Vitamin D Do You Need?

Most people are deficient, though the government claims otherwise!
New recommended daily allowances (RDAs) for vitamin D, released Wednesday by the Institute of Medicine (IOM), claim that few Americans are low in the "sunshine vitamin," although scientific studies show just the opposite. (A few of the most recent are listed in "Sources" below.)
The government's first official recommendation since 1997 did, however, raise the intake level for vitamin D—but it remains well below the levels used in most clinical research.
"Studies have been published on diabetes and vitamin D," for example, that were not… Continue reading The Newest Plague Unveiled

Could you be allergic to electricity?
On November 9th, I did a 3-hour interview on Coast-to-Coast Radio and your personal stories of electrosensitivity issues have been pouring in ever since.
Rosy H. from Facebook:
"After hearing you on Coast-to-Coast, I unplugged the cell phone right next to my computer and I can't believe how much better I feel...I couldn't figure out why just stepping into my office would make me so nauseated everyday...maybe it’s a placebo, maybe not, but it's unplugged and I am so glad to… Continue reading Ask These 7 Questions to Keep Your Family Safe

Demand accurate answers about government safety standards.
"Everyone is exposed to electromagnetic fields (EMFs)" says David O. Carpenter, MD, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the University of Albany. While he and other experts cite a number of unwanted health risks from EMFs—ranging from brain tumors, breast cancer, and leukemia to heart rate changes, inflammation, immune system deregulation, and miscarriage—our government continues to follow outmoded radiation standards.
"The U.S. spends over $2 trillion on heath care each year, of which about 78% is from people with chronic illnesses," writes… Continue reading Are Medical Tests Making You Sick?

Concerns are growing about high-tech scans, even mammograms.
In the last decade, medical personnel have upped their use of CT scans and MRIs significantly—without a corresponding rise in life-threatening conditions, a new study in JAMA shows. Earlier this year over 250 patients at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center got far more radiation than they bargained for—burning their skin and causing some to lose their hair—from CT scans.
The federal Food and Drug Administration that regulates radiation machines has limited oversight of this equipment, so responsibility rests with the states. The New York Times reports that… Continue reading

What pregnant women—and those who love them—should know.
Is there a time in any woman's life when she takes her health more seriously than when she's pregnant or considering to start a family? "Children today are surrounded by thousands of synthetic chemicals," finds research in the journal Current Opinion in Pediatrics.
While we've learned a lot in recent years about growing environmental risks, it appears more than chemical toxins are involved. Still largely overlooked is electropollution from the constantly expanding number of antennae, cell and cordless phones, digital devices, dirty electricity, medical imaging…
