Woman's WorldFat Flush Makes Woman’s World Cover Story Again.

The October 3, 2011 Woman’s World is on newsstands now! It features my recipe—the one I exclusively created for Woman’s World readers—for a diet soup that helps to beat bloat and toxins while emulsifying fat. The soup’s slimming ingredients include lots of warming and earthy flavor-filled spices like cumin, for example, which helps the digestive system by relieving abdominal distention and gas and helps to alleviate migraines and headaches.

The Fat Flush Diet Soup also contains ample amounts of antioxidant rich veggies as well as lean ground protein (like beef, turkey or chicken) and fiber-filled beans to dramatically reduce appetite while regulating blood sugar and making you feel fuller—faster. The recipe in the magazine, however, does not specify the type of beans. I used black beans during the testing phase. Many of my Facebook fans have used black beans as well and found them to blend really well with the rest of the fat flushing ingredients.

SoupAs one of the best sources of fiber on the planet, beans typically contain anywhere from 11 grams to 17 grams of fiber per serving. That’s a pretty hefty amount for one food group when you consider that the daily recommendation is about 30-35 grams. In terms of fiber, no other food compares to the bountiful bean when it comes to fiber content.  And—because they are complex carbohydrates, beans digest slowly so you get sustained energy. You also get lots of antioxidants, vitamins, and phytochemicals while balancing your cholesterol at the same time.

Plus, beans are antibiotic, hormone, and steroid-free which makes them a really healthy stand-out compared to commercial sources of animal protein.

While your lunch and dinner meals are satisfied by the scrumptious soup with in-between snacks, you do have a choice for breakfast—either eggs or a smoothie.

To get you off to a high-metabolic start and set you up for less hunger throughout the day, I would recommend Fat Flush Body Protein for your smoothies.

body proteinFat Flush Body Protein contains a perfect blend of complete plant-based proteins (non-GMO rice and pea protein, to be exact) which provide a respectable 20 grams of protein compared to just 6 grams of protein in one egg.  Protein triggers the production of the hormone glucagon which releases fat from adipose tissue storage and counters insulin which promotes fat.

Without enough protein, the thyroid is not able to ignite the fuel that transforms food into energy. The adrenals can become exhausted, too.

Here is my personal favorite smoothie recipe to complement the Fat Flush Diet Soup:

Pumpkin Pie Harvest Smoothie

Pumpkin Smoothie

Pumpkin Smoothie

8 ounces of water or cran-water
1 scoop of Fat Flush Body Protein
½ cup unsweetened pumpkin
1 apple
1 tablespoon flaxseed oil
1 tablespoon flax or chia seeds
1 teaspoon Flora-Key
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground ginger and cloves
3 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients and blend on high speed. Add the ice cubes until thick and creamy. Refrigerate or freeze for later use.

Get the full Fat Flush Diet Soup recipe and meal plan in the October 3, 2011 issue of Woman’s World magazine on newsstands now—but, hurry because the next issue comes out at the end of the week!

Note: For those of you currently following my classic Fat Flush program, please note that this soup recipe would be most appropriate for Pre-flush or Phase 3. The Fat Flush Diet Soup was developed to introduce some basic Fat Flushing principles to a more mainstream audience. For those who are new to the Fat Flush program, I would suggest that you pick up a copy of The Fat Flush Plan for continued weight loss success.

I made the soup but did not get 16 cups. I thought I was missing an ingredient such as water but have found none listed. The soup is very good but more like a goulash than thin soup. I prefer thinner soups btu will make this again.

For a thinner soup, simply add more water and enjoy!

I did the exact same thing as Linda…bought the mag and now don’t have it. When will the new blog come out with the recipe? I was hoping to start the diet this coming week.

I made the soup as written and love the taste. It’s thick like chilli. Three cups seem too much for me at one time. Could I eat less at one meal, but eat smaller portions more often? Also, I drink coffee, with coffemate and Equal. This I do not want to change. I drink seltzer for cold drinks. Will I still be able to lose weight? I can’t exercise because of back problems.

    Thanks,

I bought the October 3 issue specifically because I was interested in this recipe. I have been sick with a gallbladder disease (not stones). I’m going to have my gallbladder removed in about a week, but until then, it’s been a challenge trying to find foods that don’t make me sick. My husband was kind enough to make the soup for me. It tasted wonderful and I had no ill effects from it. My husband enjoyed it, too. I’m so grateful for this. Thanks.

I will admit that math is not my strong suit, however even I can do the math to know that you will not get 16 cups of soup from 32 oz of tomato juice. I ended up with only 8 cups of soup. I added 8 cups of water and it came out fine!

I am on weight watchers and hit a plateau…I saw the diet, made the soup(double batch)…..ate for 5 days, weighed in at 5.6 lbs less in just one week. Love it. All the girls at my group wanted the recipe 🙂 I am doing it again this week.

We suggest that if you are using canned beans with jalapeno, first drain off the excess sodium with the beans in a strainer under the faucet. That should do the trick.

I saw this recipe in Woman’s World & since I had most of the ingredients in my pantry, I made a tweaked version of this soup. I did not have tomato juice so I used tomato paste & added water, since the diced tomatoes I had also had chiles & onions, I added about 3 tbsps of diced jalopeno chiles, and a 4 oz can of diced green chilis, used garbanzo beans & added a can of refried beans … I lost 10.4 lbs in one week even tho I did not follow the diet exactly…I made a second batch using a different set of spices, italian so the soup seemed more like a minestone. I highly recommend this soup as it does not leave you feeling hungry & you can tweak the spices so it minimizes the boredom of diet foods. I have never been much of a snacker so other diets did not help me as they were too different from my normal eating habits.

I am now on my second week of eating this soup & hope I continue to lose.

I knew after reading the recipe that it would not make near 16 cups. So I simmered 2 chicken breasts (skin and fat removed) in 3-4 cups of water and then added the simmered vegetables to the chicken and broth. I removed the chicken at the end, de-boned and cubed it and returned the chicken to the pot. Even then I probably came up with about 12-13 cups but it was delicious! I will make it again but will add 4 cups chicken or beef broth to the recipe.

I followed the recipe and did get about 15 cups. This soup is GREAT! I used ground beef and in two days lost 3lbs without ever feeling hungry. I just made up a double batch. I had hit a plateau and this has started my weight loss again. Thanks!

Great soup so far. Do I have to eat 3 cups at a sitting? I’m having trouble finishing the 2 cups I got. What about drinks? Is there anything else I can drink other then water? What about coffee? Can I have that in the mornings or nothing but water while on this diet? These were the only questions I had. thanks

I started the diet today and although the soup is very tasty it is more like a chili to me. I also did not get nearly as much as the recipe stated. I will see how it goes for the next 2 days, whether I lose any pounds or not. It is very filling and satisfying!

My boyfriend and I used the soup for three days. It was absolutely yummy and filling. I lost 6 pounds and my boyfriend lost 8. You will not go hungry with this one. I would recommend this recipe to others in fact, I am making it again this week to try it a little longer. I even tripled the batch.

I still dont understand why you say this makes 16 cups ,,,,i measured everything exactly both times i cooked this and only come up with 9 cups. I will say this is my families new favorite chili recipe!!!! made it yesterday and another batch today! we can only eat about 1 1/2 cups at a sitting. My husband and I both lost 1 pound overnight but we are also exercising about an hour a day so arnt sure if its the soup .. just the exercise.. or both!! Either way we are going to try to stick to it for a week and see what we can loose!

I made this soup last night and it is fantastic. However, mine only yeilded 10 cups. I made it with chicken so I’m curious if the turkey or beef versions yeild more. I’m trying ground turkey in my next batch.

Would be very helpful if there were dry bean to canned bean ratios. I picked up dry beans at the store because I could get enough for 4 batches for the price of two cans. Can you provide this please?

Also, would there be any harm in adding other vegetables like squash, green beans, or peas to the veggie mix? I know the nutritional stats would be a little different, but I couldn’t get past two cups without feeling full.

I made a pot roast yesterday in the crock pot and had so much left over I decided to use that instead of the ground beef. It worked fine. The soup is delicious and I was VERY full after eating it. I hope using the pot roast didn’t mess it up for me though 🙂

    Hi There:
Peas and squash would not be a good veggie selection although zucchini and string beans would be for the soup if you want to jazz it up some more.
With regard to the dry bean vs. canned beans…we will look into this. Do not have any equivalents for you right now.
    Stay tuned.

I, too, do not understand where the 16-cup serving is coming from. I think either Woman’s World or the author made a mistake on that part.

My husband and I are doing this together because he’s been stuck at a plateau for two weeks and I’m at 204.5 and want to get into onederland ASAP. Anyway, we came up with only 9 cups of soup from this recipe this morning…48 ounces less than it claimed to yield. So I am going to take some of your suggestions and just add more water because it is rather thick.

For the most part, neither my husband nor myself have felt hunger all day long today. In fact, I only ate 2 cups worth tonight because it’s so filling. Maybe when we thin it out with the water in tomorrow’s batch it won’t be as filling. But I am very satified with just the 2 cups tonight.

I hope we both get a good weight loss tomorrow morning. Congratulations to everyone else whose doing this and had success.

I purchased the magazine a few days ago and I made the soup today. I started following the diet plan with eggs in the morning and soup for lunch and dinner with fruit in between as snacks. I did have a few bites of rice today. But, I feel very very bloated and I don’t know why. Do you think I need to add extra of any ingredient or will the bloating go away?

    Thank you!

On day 2 of the soup diet. Weighed myself this morning and have already lost 4 pounds. The soup is very good and I did get 15 cups out of it, Probably add a little water to it, when I make the next batch tomorrow as it is a little thick for a soup.

Paulina – I didn’t have any bloating. The soup does have a lot of fiber in it. If you haven’t eaten a lot of fiber rich foods previously, it may be that you will get a bit of bloating and gas. It should settle down or you could try taking one of the gas reducing products, that are on the market.

I noticed that the question (Sandy 10/01) was not answered. She asked about coffee. What about beverages and artificial sweetners?

    Reply

One cup of coffee daily would be OK as it fits into the complete Fat Flush program. No artificial sweeteners — just Stevia or Stevia Plus or Flora Key ( which can be obtained through unikeyhealth.com). Water throughout the day spiked with a twist of lemon and lime will bring the best results…

Getting to my ideal weight has consumed my life, and I know for sure Flat Flush productser works. However, sometimes we need to change up things to get faster results.

I did notice that the diet soup recipe was listed, but the meal plan was not. So would it be possible for the meal to be listed as well? You see, I live in the Virgin Islands and if its so impossible for you all to get that specific issue, imagine me.

I also believe that in order to have the weight loss results that we so desire both the soup and the meal plan has to be done together. Please help and thank you.

Can you give me some tips about the soup diet? This is my second day and I am still bloated and constipated. Should I add any more ingredients?

    Thank you!

Paula – See our comment on October 4th blog. The beans may be making you bloated. Sometimes adding more cayenne or taking a digestive enzyme that helps to digest beans could help out here. Also, many women find that more magnesium is also helpful to combat constipation.
